Route 25 | kR sneak peek

just popping in really quick today to share a sneak peek at Route 25 my new vintage christmas collection that will be available at two peas next tuesday.  I’m super excited about this one as it’s very vintage and began when my mother and I decided to collaborate and share pieces from her vast collection of vintage ephemera that she’s collected over the years. there are 8 kits being released, 7 of which have vintage images, and a few are hybrid/printables too. the shadowbox printable above is probably one of my fav’s. i’ve already printed out a ton of papers & ephemera and will share my december daily mini (which I made with the Route 25 kit) on tuesday.

here’s to a beautiful weekend. the little man’s got a basketball game in the morning then we’re heading off for a family field trip to the petrified forest in calistoga, my sweet bean has a report due for class.

OH! and my dear friend Dina has a HUGE announcement… it’s worth checking out, especially if you love to art journal.

greenery : making a glittery wreath

when we went to hunt our tree this past weekend i picked up two pre-made but undecorated wreaths at the farm. it’s one of the things i love most about the holidays, all the greenery that i place throughout our house. this year i decided not only was i going to get a wreath that i would decorate for the door but i bought a second one for the mantel in our family-room (will share that one later). our local craft store michales always has this amazing row of glittery stems so i purchased a few big piles of silver glittered eucalyptus leaves, gold glittered ferns and some velvety poinsettia stems. i just clipped each single stem from the large bunch (so i could add them as i wanted) and then wire them to the wreath base. sprinkle in some of the velvet poinsettias in a big bunch (i cut the stems apart as well) and fini. one BIG glittery wreath decorating the front door and a second one for the mantel.

goodness i love diy holiday decorating.

happy wednesday!

are you still out there friends? sorry for my lack of posts and for basically disappearing but i’ve been sick, really, really sick with walking pneumonia. i know. not. fun. at. all. so, what initally started as a little cough turned into something huge and really exhausting which lead to 40 days away from here. whew. so happy THAT’S over!

lots has been going on since i started feeling better after the turkey day fesitivities. oh yea. 18 people here at casa yeary. i know. insane! but so much fun and my sweet family really helped quite alot, and it was so wonderful to have our home filled with lots of little cousins and laughter and really, really good food.

now. bring on the holiday decorating!! i’m rested & ready.
