new eye candy

a week ago, i spent the day on saturday cutting paper surrounded by some really good friends, and made some new ones as well. i’m not normally a craft in public type of girl but i bought a few favorite pieces from my friend amy’s new line with american crafts and had a blast.

this page is kinda funny because i saved that fork because i wanted to do a layout about our first time at sprinkles, which is extra funny because the kids actually didn’t enjoy all that much. mad’s took one bite of the cake and declared {rather loudly} “this is SO not as good as Sift, the cake is too dry. and then proceeded to throw it away”

aficianados indeed ;)

we’re totally spoiled by our local cupcakery and nothing has beat the taste ot their cakies yet. especailly the snicker-doodle. probably why they won the cupcake wars on hgtv ;) nummy.

happy monday!

painting with stamps & stencils

i made a video tutorial which was posted on the JBS blog yesterday showing how i used paint with the exclusive stamp & stencil from the August JBS Mercantile papercrafting kit, so i wanted to link it up here too. it was really fun to make, and i didn’t realize until these past two months {since the kits have started including the stamp/stencil exclusives} just how these additions have inspired me to create more & experiment with old techniques. funny how that happens, right?

i have a few more video plans that i’ve been working on, including an “anatomy of a page series” {me scrapping from beginning to end} that i’ve been filming this week, i love seeing the process of others i’m inspired by, like this. i’m totally falling in love with video and using our camera and have wanted to do this for so long, so making this one has pushed me a little to get out of my safe zone which is really, really good!

happy wednesday!
