I have a big release tomorrow at two peas. 8 vintage kits, and wanted to share the preview images with you all this afternoon. i’m a sucker for a homespun christmas and old ephemera and photos, so i had alot of fun designing these and including them in the route 25 kits. don’t miss the shiny & birght countdown badges at the bottom either, super fun for some december daily action or general scrapping.would love to know what you think. ;)

just popping in really quick today to share a sneak peek at Route 25 my new vintage christmas collection that will be available at two peas next tuesday.  I’m super excited about this one as it’s very vintage and began when my mother and I decided to collaborate and share pieces from her vast collection of vintage ephemera that she’s collected over the years. there are 8 kits being released, 7 of which have vintage images, and a few are hybrid/printables too. the shadowbox printable above is probably one of my fav’s. i’ve already printed out a ton of papers & ephemera and will share my december daily mini (which I made with the Route 25 kit) on tuesday.

here’s to a beautiful weekend. the little man’s got a basketball game in the morning then we’re heading off for a family field trip to the petrified forest in calistoga, my sweet bean has a report due for class.

OH! and my dear friend Dina has a HUGE announcement… it’s worth checking out, especially if you love to art journal.

i’ve been a busy little bee these past two weeks, working on some halloween designs, like the hallow fields kit revealed last tuesday @twopeas and the no.thirty-one stackable brushes being revealed today (see below). all that studying and learning some new digi tricks over the summer has brought on a surge of productivity.and fun designing, lots & lots of fun designing.

thank goodness.

because i have needed that drive this past weekend as i applied for a design position to create a collection, two “test” designs created in 4 days. the inspiration boards were amazing. in between juggling the littles school schedules and soccer games and a fabulous pumpkin carving party. isn’t it amazing how, when you are doing something you love, the craziness doesn’t seem to get you down.

i created the template above as a fanpage exclusive on facebook. it’s my first fanpage freebie, so be kind and tell me you love it, then go grab one. it’s kinda cool.

and these are the no.thirty-one stackable halloween brushes that came out today. they’re making me super happy. i love vintage holiday images.

i released seven new halloween kits at two peas yesterday and love every single one. i love designing (LOVE! ) and made a huge commitment this past summer to dedicate myself to learning more and dedicating more of my time to explore and learn some new tricks. it’s a path that bears alot of my future hopes and dreams. so i’ve been working alot behind the scenes here. alot. and i hope you like them.

there is a traditional huge scrapbook kit (the chevron papers are my fav) and a few printables, like the candy boxes, bands & cones as well as the printable journaling cards which are perfect for project life or even a mini halloween book, which is my plan. i’ve got projects to share on friday, a scrap page or two as well as some altered items that i’ve made with the kits.

cupcake stands | september 2010

one year ago i joined the jbs dt. it’s been amazing and wonderful and working with jenni & jared & doris and everyone else has been such a delight. but i decided this past month that it’s time to move on, which should be of no surprise considering my post on motivation. but. sending that email was still bittersweet because being on that team was like working with happy friends on a daily basis. easy. relaxed. perfect.

so i thought today i’d post one favorite project/layout that i created each month that i was on the JBS team. some are from the monthly kit boxes, but some are from the wholesale side. all of them are treasures. all of them were happily made.

i’m going to miss it. i’ll still scrap but it’s not really my passion anymore. time for new horizons, new passions for making and all of those dreams i’ve been holding close to my chest? yea. it’s exactly the right time for those to bloom.

first, thank you for your sweet words, support and encouragement about my last post. i have spent the last week or so doing nothing creative. nothing. i’ve spent time out in the studio but it’s been time spent cleaning and purging. purging. purging. purging.

i’m regrouping.

i’m running my hands over things and deciding what i keep are the things that make me want to make things. i’m deciding what makes me excited about the craft of making.  those things are staying. and so, i’m also deciding that i need to get rid of things as well, i need to get rid of  the things that are simply taking up space. there’s alot in that pile. alot of paper and scrap supplies. alot of random embellies. alot of stamps i’ll never use.

i’m thinking they’ll be heading out of this house in another stash sale. next week. unless you know you’d like a box now. email me. we’ll chat. ;)

but during all of this a project that i worked on last month for 7gypsies is finally up and public, my section is #4, the one with the glittery pie chart. the entire creative team & staff worked on a collab atc tray project kit that is available to purchase (here). it. was. so. much. fun. to. do!! all my favorite gypsies participated {they inspire me to the moon and back}. and next month, beginning on the 10th you can learn, by following the gypsy blog how to make it, with or without a kit.

unfortunatly i don’t have anything to show as i just got my kits tuesday evening, but i had to show a screenshot of briana’s project with the sept kit bc it’s just amazing. LOVE the pink & green together. Oh, and a little vintage birdie told me ALL of the new JBS retail releases are available & can ship with your kits. :)

It’s Back to School month over at the JBS blog and because I’ve been wanting to have a more organized way of documenting the littles school year experiences ever since the bean started kinder 3 years ago, this year I decided I wanted to make binders “Diary of a wimpy kid style” and have everything ready before school started. Up until now I have just been writing notes on our family calendar and putting select bits of memorabilia and schoolwork and art projects into a box, not the best thing to do when you want to remember “when” they got that 100% in spelling or drew that family portrait.

The interior pages hold the printable calendar that I created for the school year and I’ll be adding memorabilia, art, as well as layouts documenting pictures that I plan on taking over the year. I have the printable of the outer “Diary of a” pages {preschool through high school} as well as the interior calendar pages {available below in zipped pdfs} if you’d like to download them to use for a similar binder. I printed mine onto 8.5×11 Kraft cardstock and you will need a PDF reader to view these.
