i’ve been playing around with my cameo some more, altering some vintage Halloween files i’ve had forever. just putzing in photoshop & illustrator, cutting and seeing what happens. over the weekend i decided to turn one of my no.31 stackable brushes into a cut file, just to see how it would look. i subtracted a few items, played around with the merge & grouping functions and turned the two brush files into the haunted house you see above. there’s actually more pieces in the design, but after cutting these are the ones that i decided to keep, you might choose to add more.
if you’d like the file to use this halloween (or next) just click here. and, if you use it let me know, i’d love to see what you make.
now i’m off to get started on the bean’s owl costume. it’s going to be quite a process of sitting & cutting fabric into little feathers. wish me luck!
new printable journaling card kit available at 2peas today. three pages in 4×6 as well as 3×4 with and without grid backgrounds. and they’re only $2. woot!!
in other news it’s been quiet here at the kR blog as i’m working on a few new papery things that i’ll hopefully be able to show you next week sometime. super exciting time right now. ;)
also… i reopened the kR mixed media shop as well as my kR vintage shop this morning. a few of the stamps that have been relisted are the last ones i have (ledger, postcard, button card, school box silhouette). get em while you can ;)
Five new releases at two peas this morning, including four contributions that i made to the february pea soup release, which is a collaboration of mini kits with the other twp peas digital designers.
Glassine | This kit is Six Glassine bags and vintage four tags that come in a normal bag (as seen in the upper right corner) as well as separated layers (as seen with the white bag + layered tag) so you can layer the tags that come with the kit inside the bags or simply you can add any other elements that you’d like to your layout or project. really cute for journaling & adding extra photos.
TinTypes | These are three antique tintype pictures that i have had for a few years. The kit includes three as is, without extra embellishing so you can use them for vintage pages or altered art & hybrid projects. but i also included three pictures with extra embellishments and coloring to coordinate with all of the other pea soup releases.
Scraps | These i love! just an 8.5×11 .psd that you can print and cut to add to your project life pages, layouts and more. super cute and bright and the coordinate with my february fan page freebie.
Ditto Ditto | digital & printable journaling cards. the printable sheet comes with some extra banner elements as well as another size of 4×6 cards.
Love & Admiration Scraps | These coordinate with the Love & Adoration Kit released last week and are perfect for your project life & hybrid layouts. Again, this is a printable 8.5×11 .psd file.
In other news, it’s pouring here today which means i’m bundled up in my sweats, enjoying some coffee and about to dive into a 3 hour illustrator lesson. The house feels so quiet right now after having tLm home sick for the last 5 days. First a fever then coughing and finally an ear infection. The meds we got yesterday kicked in and i’m a little grateful it’s raining because it means he can’t overdo it on the playground. hard to hold back a boy after being locked up for a week.
It’s a big kR digital release day, i have 8 kits being released this morning at 2peas.
- There’s a HUGE valentines kit; you can either buy it all in one shot as a full collection or pick and choose which pieces you’d like and purchase them seperately.
- I also made what i’m calling a “Scraps” kit, which is basically an 8.5″x11″ printable pdf from the love & adoration collection (see below). It can be used for traditional scrapbook pages, project life or general holiday projects, i’m thinking of creating a mini garland with it.
eta : the scraps kit will actually be out next tuesday. we had a little issue so i had to hold it til the next release date. worth the wait though!
- Lastly there’s a set of printable chalkboard journaling cards. I love these. LOVE. Lots of brushes are included in this set as well as a plain chalkboard background so you can make your own if you’d like. My journaling cards come in both .jpg & .pdf so you can print and use or add your journaling and photos before printing as well as use them in digital layouts and projects.
And the icing on the cake? All valentines themed digital projects are 20% off this week at 2peas. I know. 20% off brand new valentines releases, doesn’t get any better than that!
:: this will be out next tuesday, 2.7.12 ::
i told you i had valentines on the brain and now it’s scattered all over my desk and in quite a few files on the computer. vintage love rocks.
