Rolling through the holidays
If you’re in the US (or celebrate abroad), how was your Thanksgiving holiday? We are still enjoying turkey sammiches; although, I think today will be the last day. At around $1/lb, cooking a 19lb turkey sure is a great way to feed a crash* for a couplefew meals. We had some company come, bearing early Christmas gifts, so the kids were overjoyed for more reasons that one… make that at least five reasons each! We are truly blessed! Next, Christmas.
So, here’s a little different spin on things for you… are you up for a little challenge? I have the pleasure of playing with digital goodies over at a little place called The Lilypad. We run a sketch/template challenge every month, and, this month, the sketch/template is inspired by one of my Kenner Road July ‘09 layouts, Party Time.
By the way, this is a hybrid layout – can you tell just by looking what is “real” and what is digital**???

Here’s how these particular sketches/templates work (most in the digital world you will find operate the same way)…
- If you are a paper scrapper, you can simply print out the jpg file included in the download (DOWNLOAD HERE) or run with the image on the screen as a sketch to get you started on a layout.
- If you are a little more daring and/or are a digital/hybrid type scrapper, you can step a bit farther out and use the layered Photoshop template that is included in the download (DOWNLOAD HERE)***. If you want a really great tutorial on how to use any kind of PSD layered template, be sure to check HERE on Liz’s blog – she’s got about the best template tutorial I’ve seen!

Try it out – use this layout to inspire you! Would love to see what you create!!!
=====================
*a crash is a family of rhinos for those of you who don’t know! ;)
**the “real” stuff – the tan paper, the tags, the buttons, & the stitching. the digital stuff – the bluegreen background paper, the messy overlay on the tan paper, the tape and the journaling.
