my favorite thing…
My favorite item in this month’s kits is the exclusive vintage two pals school days stamp. Although I love stamps i’m often at a loss with how to use them. But not this one….this one I love and I can’t stop using.
For the november gallery I created a little mini book for my purse. It holds all my favorite photos from the fall AND my favorite stamp. :)

And now I can’t stop making cards with it. And if you know me, you know that I am just not a card maker. They confound me too for some reason. But this stamp has me stamping AND making cards….insane I tell you, but true. Here is one I made the other night:

& then I made a gift tag too:

See? I just can’t stop with this stamp. I’m smitten.
So, what are YOU making with my favorite stamp?
Have a wonderful weekend!

Over the past few months our flickr gallery has been growing with members and it has made me so grateful for you, our community of supporters, fans and members that have been sharing your work with the Kenner Road kits that you have purchased, just look at the beautiful artwork shown above.
This month, for our gallery challenge, we want to say thank you and we want to be inspired by you, our members. Just upload any scrapbook page, altered item, tag, journal, artwork or or anything else you can create with a Kenner Road kit to the flickr pool by December 7th and you could win a $20 gift certificate to use towards any add-on purchase you choose. The winner will be announced on the December 11th and you’ll receive an entry for every item you post.
Wishing you the best Thanksgiving & holiday season I can imagine for you.

An attitude of gratitude…

I have an idea for your Thanksgiving celebration…use your Kenner Road kit to create a quick & cute gratitude journal. You can then pass the journal around before or after your Thanksgiving meal and have people record what they are thankful for. What a great keepsake it would be of your day!
To create this little journal, I simply cut 2 sheets of 12×12 kraft cardstock in half (so I had four pieces 6×12), and then I folded those in half to create my pages. For the cover, I used a 6×12 piece of patterned paper from the kit. To bind the book, I stacked the cover and the pages and just ran it through my sewing machine. Easy as (pumpkin) pie!

A {sad} goodbye & our reveal night winners
It’s never easy to say goodbye but last month Celeste informed us that she needed to step down as a design team member with us here at Kenner Road. I’m sure i’m not the only one who missed her detailed layouts in the gallery this past month.
*sigh*
Celste has been a wonderful supporter of Kenner Road and a sweet friend of mine since we met a few years ago when we were on a manufacturers design team together. She will be greatly missed but I understand her decision and wish her nothing but the best in all that life has waiting for her.
