Just a little bit book…

I’ve got a confession to make.
I love leftovers.
You know, those little bits of kit leftovers that litter your craft desk after you’ve been scrapping & creating away with your Kenner Road kit? I just can’t bear to throw even the little teeny bit away. I’ve got a serious hoarding problem when it comes to little pretty bits of patterned paper & those adorable embellishments & scraps of ribbon. And the thing is, all these pretty things look so much better on a project than in my stash. Also after a scrapping session, I’ve always got extra photos. I tend to print in various sizes because I never can make up my mind which size photo I want to use.
So, in those spare seconds when I just want to create a little something, I’ve challenged myself to USE IT! USE IT! USE IT!! The something I create today will ALWAYS be better than that “just perfect, future, maybe one day I’ll do something unbelievably wonderful with that” pipe dream of mine. And so what if I’ve used that photo before? I like it!
So, in addition to using bits & extra photos up on various journal pages, I’ve started creating little mini binder ring “books” with these elements. These books are perfect to pop in my handbag & take along with me. They are especially handy on those rare occasions when I’m actually out & about WITHOUT my kids, lol! Everyone always asks me “OH! How are the kids?” Now I’ve got cute pictures to show off right at the ready. :)
Obviously, these books are also great for grandparents & family who live far away. You can soar to “top daughter-in-law” in 3 seconds flat if you pop one of these in an envelope & send it off to your in-laws. I guarantee it. :)
So, here is a little leftover book I’ve started creating this month with my kit leftovers. And the thing I really like about it is, that as I continue to go through my kit, I can continue to pop in some more little pages. It’s so fun!

A bonus I’ve noticed about creating these little books (other than the top daughter-in-law award) is that I’ve discovered some new color & pattern combinations that I hadn’t thought of before, or I’m giving an embellishment that I didn’t get to try out a place to shine. It is just plain fun to sit & cut & piece it all together. These little books are really providing quite the creative spark for me!
I hope you’ll give it a try too!
Happy Creating!!!

Aw – how lovely! I’ll do that tomorrow, because:
- I love the idea
- I am a hoarder
- I have so many leftovers from various projects
- I have to really size down my stash
- I want some cute on-the-go-books for children’s remarks and the daily pics I take of the children
- because I will love making these!
Thankk you for the inspiration!

I love it! What are the dimensions? I’m guessing 3×6, but only because I’m hoping to be able to use it with 4×6 pics.
