puzzled
so are you loving your kits?? how many of you got the salmon creek add on?? today’s class is brought to you by elements from that kit!!! i LOVED that veneer album…loved it!! but the bag it came in…come on!!! totally awesome!!! and since i like to get the most out of my scrapbooking product that i possibly can…decided to use the canvas bag separate from the book!
so aside from calendars being inspired from this month’s home sweet home theme….i also thought about fun things we do as a family that scream home to me….such as our family fun night. we get together as a family….pig out on good appies…and play games! and while puzzles aren’t so much a game as a project….we do puzzles too. so i decided that turning a family photo into a puzzle and using the canvas bag as a holder of our puzzle would be fab fun for our next family night.
so let’s get started…..

the canvas bag from the salmon creek add on
home sweet home stamp, buttons, ric rac, and chipboard flower spray from the main
felt rainbow from the occidental road add on
you will also need ink, small alpha stamps, embroidery thread and needle
what you do…..

using the frame from the home sweet home stamp….stamp the image in the centre of the bag.
using your embroidery thread, stitch around the inside and outside of the frame

stamp your title (family fun for me) inside the frame
cut 2 lengths of ric rac and using a sewing machine ( or hand stitch if you like) stitch the ric rac to the bag below the frame.
add your embellies…i off set the felt rainbow to the left bottom side of the frame, added the flower spray, and then layered over some of the chipboard flowers. i also scatered some of the smaller chipboard flowers over the rest of of the bag.

i took a fave family photo and uploaded it online to walmart and had them turn it into a puzzle…it is 8×10 and has a 110 pieces. when i picked up the puzzle it came in a video cassette case. so i broke the puzzle apart into all it’s pieces, left it in the case, and stuck the case into the bag i just created.

the kids LOVE it!! but it also make a GREAT grandparent gift and depending on what you photo you choose to turn into a puzzle can make a great child’s b-day gift as well!!
alright…now the fun part….go create!!! and please SHARE with us your version of this!!!!
have a fabulous day!!
