Hi Gigi,
My favourite recipe is not really a recipe at all but rather a method. It is how I cook a whole chicken. Buy the biggest, fresh, chicken that will fit into your slow cooker. Stuff the cavity with halved lemons (as many as will fit) and then squeeze the juice of another lemon over the chicken. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt, freshly ground pepper and fresh rosemary (you can also stuff some rosemary into the cavity as well). Cook on high for 4 hours and then turn heat to low for about three more hours and then enjoy!
I like to roast new potatoes in foil (just chopped and sprinkled with olive oil and S&P) and make a beautiful green salad to top it all off. It is my favourite meal.
Kelly
ps...I really like your recipe exchange party idea. I hope you have a great evening.
