dorothea : mini tutorial
earlier today i received a great question about how debee created these two layouts with our december collection ‘dorothea‘ and she was sweet enough to explain some simple tips.
First : punch out all the butterflies from the die cut amy butler paper.
Second: lay the punched die cut paper over the grey paper. Use as a mask and spray over that.
Third: remove the die-cut mask and add butterflies over the sprayed paper. stitch.
I also noticed she then used the spray painted butterfly mask on the blessed layout by laying it over the basic grey granola paper, isn’t it just perfect!

ok, im stupid, won’t the butterfly paper with the punched out butterflies leave the negative, like the second layout? how do you make the “positive” where the butterflies are the background paper color and the Amy butler is “painted”? i don’t follow the instructions. please reply.
